Bukchon Hanok Village is in SeoulSouth Korea. This dreamy village was built 600 years ago, and it still retains its beauty now.  This heritage site is not a highlight during autumn. But if you’re visiting the palaces, better drop by this area since it’s just along the way.

Why you should visit there

You do not need to spend money to visit Bukchon hanok village because it is a residential area , so there is no entrance fee.

However, some attractions in the village have entrance tickets and different operating hours.

Visit Baek In-je House

The house was built during the Japanese colonial era and has been open since November 2015 for all visitors.

Visit traditional houses, cafes, and shops

Most of the houses in Bukchon are restored and preserved into relics, cultural centers, and shops selling local specialties and handicrafts.

Bukchon is a heritage neighborhood, so it is advisable to follow a group of no more than ten persons to view the old town. Please be quiet because this is still a residential area. It is not uncommon to see signs that notice noise in the area. 

The entrance fee costs ₩3,000 (₱150) but considered free if you’re wearing Hanbok. If not, a Hanbok rental costs about ₩13,000 (₱640).

An entrance ticket is cheap but wearing Hanbok in the palace is totally different experience. In order to get entrance, you spend the gate entrance fees and     whereas wearing Hanbok is like going the extra mile.

N Seoul Tower ticket costs ₩10,000 (₱490).

Built in 1969, the N Seoul Tower is South Korea’s first general radio wave tower, providing TV and radio broadcasting in Seoul. Currently, the tower broadcasts signals for Korean media outlets, such as KBS, MBC, and SBS.
